Mortgages in the Czech Republic
The Czechs are currently very liberal with finance, offering up to 90% finance for EU citizens and even 100% for Czechs. Even non-EU citizens can borrow at up to 70% LTV. Interest rates around 2.8% can be expected with maximum terms of 30 years or up until your 70th birthday. Borrowing is always in CZK.
Mortgages in Slovakia
Only one bank will finance EU Citizens in Slovakia. They offer up to 70% finance for EU citizens and 85% for Slovaks. Interest rates around 2.5% can be expected with maximum terms of 30 years or up until your 70th birthday. Borrowing is always in EUR.
Mortgages in Hungary
Hungary was hit much worse by the financial crisis and financing is still difficult. 60-70% finance is possible for EU citizens, but rates are around 5.5%. All cases are treated individually.
Mortgages in Croatia
Only one bank will finance overseas clients in Croatia. Interest rates are around 6.5% with a maximum LTV of 62.5%. All cases are treated individually.
Mortgages in Poland
Currently only Polish citizens (including expatriates) can obtain mortgages in Poland. 75% finance is the maximum, with 4.5% the expected interest rate. Borrowing is always in the currency in which you earn.
